About The Artist
Ray Deardorf looks for photographic inspiration in the natural and human made environment. His compositions reflect everyday activities, light patterns and scenes as seen through the viewfinder of his camera. Capturing the emotional impressions of the Pacific Northwest and his travels abroad is an important aspect of his particular vision.
Ray has been photographing since the age of 12 and has been taking classes at the Photographic Center Northwest in his hometown of Seattle, Washington. He uses 35 mm rangefinder or 2 1/4 inch square medium format cameras to make his images.
